About U-Lead
Our Mission:

Welcome to Undergraduate Leadership Council (ULead)! ULead is one of the largest and most active student organization in the Isenberg School of Mangement (ISOM). ULead provides students with the opportunity to develop leadership skills while supporting the Isenberg School, the University and the surrounding community. We strive to enhance the quality of life- socially, academically, and professionally for all undergraduate students within the Isenberg School. We also aim to strengthen the relationship between students and faculty, alumni, local organizations and the business community.

ULead organizes various social, fundraising, welcoming, community service, and development activities throughout the year. Membership is open to all undergraduate student at UMass Amherst who are would like to participate in the club.

No matter where your interests lie, there is a place for you in our ULead. We encourage you to participate in our events and activities and to submit any suggestions that would enhance life at the school.

Membership Requirements:

ULead Member:
  • Attend ULead General Assembly Meetings every other Tuesday. (Date and time posted on our website).
  • Join a committee and attend regular committee and subcommittee meetings.
  • Participate in at least one fundraising event a semester.
  • Accumulate at least 10 points a semester
How can I obtain points?
  • 1 point attending general assembly meeting
  • 2 points attending a ULead sponsored event
  • 3 to 5 points for organizing an event
  • 3 points for writing an article for our newsletter
At the end of the semester, a trip or dinner activity will be rewarded to members with the highest points.

Chairs:
Chairs are elected at the end of each semester. Each committee has two chairs who are expected to fulfill the requirements of a ULead Member in addition to being available each week to meet with their sub-committees. Chairs also attend a weekly Executive/Chair Meeting.
